Andrew H. Meyer Attorney, Managing Partner
Since 1991, Mr. Meyer has represented developers, equity investors and lenders in the construction, leasing, and acquisition of office buildings, local and regional shopping centers, apartment complexes, and other commercial facilities in Georgia and throughout the Southeast. He has represented retail, multi-family and office developers, equity investors and lenders in acquiring land, organizing ownership structures, and securing financing, including acquisition, development, construction, permanent loans, equity financing, as well as many types of other financing arrangements. Mr. Meyer has also assisted developers in the creation or conversion of condominiums. He has also managed the ownership, remediation and disposition of large portfolios of distressed real estate for the Federal government. Also, he has negotiated many types of commercial contracts. Mr. Meyer has negotiated, both for lessors and lessees, retail leases, office leases, lease-purchase agreements and equipment leases. He represents financial institutions and life insurance companies in connection with all phases of construction loans, permanent financing and revolving credit facilities. He has participated in closing and insuring title to some of Georgia’s most notable landmarks. Mr. Meyer’s clients include commercial and residential financial institutions, builders, developers, small and mid-size corporations, national universities, local and national sale and leasing brokers, franchisors and law firms. He graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 1989 where he was a member and an editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. Mr. Meyer received his undergraduate degree in Economics and History from Vanderbilt University in 1985. Mr. Meyer is an approved attorney or a title agent for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company and Ticor Title Insurance Company. Mr. Meyer has received an AV Peer Review Rating by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Estate Section), the District of Columbia Bar, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Sandy Springs Bar Association, the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association (GRECAA), the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Sandy Springs and Signature Legal Care. He is admitted to practice before all State and Federal courts in Georgia. Mr. Meyer and his wife, Barb, live in Sandy Springs with their three children. He is an active member of Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church and serves as a volunteer at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School, The Westminster Schools, Heritage Sandy Springs and the Northside Youth Organization. Mr. Miller graduated from University of Georgia School of Law in 1989, and received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Tulane University in 1986. Upon returning to Atlanta in 2003, Ginny accepted an intern position at the Southeastern Flower Show. In 2004, she earned the title and responsibilities of Director of Marketing for the Flower Show and continued working with the amazing staff, creative landscapers, wonderful volunteers of the organization and supportive sponsors. In 2006, Ginny left the Flower Show to take a position in the marketing department of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP. It was not long though before she was recruited away from the national firm to Meyer Closings, LLC where she was able to share her creative and logistical marketing talents in the re-branding and business development of Andy Meyer’s real estate practice. She continues to work alongside this fabulous team of attorneys and legal staff as they assist and counsel clients across the Southeast with their residential and commercial real estate needs. Ginny calls Sandy Springs home along with her Boykin Spaniel dogs. Following graduation from Forsyth County High School, Jan was employed in a variety of challenging positions with the Southern Company, Sears Roebuck and Gulf Travel Card Center. In 1973, Jan made her move into the residential real estate law business. Jan’s duties at Meyer Closings, LLC include work in all phases of preparing files for closing, including preliminary title review and clearance, verification of property taxes, preliminary review of surveys, obtaining loan payoffs and homeowner’s insurance, coordination with Homeowner’s Associations and, ultimately, preparation of HUD-1 Settlement Statements. She also prepares the files after closing for return to the lenders and processes instruments for recording. In addition to her residential duties at Meyer Closings, LLC, Jan assists with commercial closings. Jan currently resides in Forsyth County with her husband, Gary, and mother-in-law, for whom they are full-time caretakers, and their Scotty dog, named Scotty McAllister Green (Max). She has two children, two step-children, three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Jan’s favorite pastimes are golfing with her husband and friends, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and camping with her daughter Melissa and her two daughters. jgreen@meyerclosings.com
